 The history of the North Korean flag
 The flag of North Korea consists of wide red bands with a narrower blue band at the top and bottom, these bands are separated by white lines. In the red area of the North Korean flag you can see a white emblem, which is a red five-pointed star on a white circle.

 The flag of North Korea has a symbolic meaning. The red star on the white circle symbolizes communism. The white round circle could possibly refer to the Yin Yang symbol, this symbol is widely used in Korean culture and is very popular.
