STORM WARNING
A flag or banner outside, in all kinds of weather, is meant to be displayed. These are elements
that you have no control over. Be aware of the choice of flag in terms of quality and/or
finish.
What is the effect of air pollution or salt spray? But above all,
what is the average wind speed? These are important factors that affect
the life of your flag or banner.
We do everything we can to optimize the life of your flag or banner. First of
all, flags are hemmed with extreme care. We have different flags (mold
resistant) polyester fabrics, knitted fabrics ranging from
standard to strong storm weave. All fabric qualities are carefully tested to the
highest weather and light fastness, tensile strength.
A flag or banner outside, in all kinds of weather, is subject to wear and tear. These are elements
that you have no control over.
Advice
We recommend that you take down flags at a Beaufort wind force of 6 or
higher. This is to prevent damage to the flagpole or accessories.
Furthermore, the flag will suffer unnecessary wear in such cases. If the flag
is taken down in the evening, the flag will obviously be twice as long.
About wind force
Wind force can be expressed in Beaufort, meters per second, kilometers per hour, and
knots. Beaufort is a measure of the average wind speed over a
period of ten minutes. Wind gusts are estimated and shown in kilometers per hour.
Wind gusts can also have a different direction than the wind. Wind strength is relatively easy
to determine based on the nature and environment.
